A Future with Increased Access to Equine Therapy

Updated: Dec 18, 2024

Sanctuary Horses has a deep connection to the local community. We actively collaborate with local businesses, volunteers, and supporters, creating a network of compassion that extends beyond our sanctuary. We are more than just a rescue: we are a community resource dedicated to promoting animal welfare and human healing.

We envision a sanctuary where every horse, regardless of their past, can live out their life in peace, health, and happiness. We aim to expand our facilities to provide even better shelter, comfort, and care for the growing number of horses in need of rescue. Our long-term goal is to ensure that Sanctuary Horses remains a sustainable, forever haven for equines, supported by a strong and engaged community of donors and volunteers.

We plan to significantly expand our equine-assisted therapy programs, making them accessible to more individuals in our community. We believe that horses have the power to heal in ways that few other therapies can, and we want to offer that healing to veterans, children with special needs, trauma survivors, and anyone else who can benefit. Our dream is to become a leading center for equine-assisted therapy, recognized for the impact we have on people’s lives.

This year we received a wonderful gift from our local community: the support of our very own Pinedale Mayor. We are thankful to Matt W. Murdock, Mayor of Pinedale, for his kind words and support of our organization!
